Pictured is last year’s tree in Derby Square provided by the Salem Beautification Committee. This year the tree will be located by the Museum Place Mall on Essex Street coordinated by Salem Main Streets.
Join Santa Claus and Mayor Kimberley Driscoll in lighting Salem’s Holiday Tree. This lovely evergreen tree towering over 20 feet will be lit Friday, November 27 at approximately 6:15 p.m. on Essex Street, in the East India Square Fountain by the entrance of the Museum Place Mall. Enjoy holiday music, refreshments provided by the Gathering and the warm glow of the beautiful tree. It’s an event for the whole family you do not want to miss!
The event is organized by Salem Main Streets and the City of Salem. The tree is a donation of the Meeting House Church and Carpenter Tree Farm. Decorations were donated in Memory of Miss Juliette Marquis. Bill’s Auto Clinic donated their services to transport the tree from Carpenter Tree Farm in Maine. Asplundh generously volunteered to put the tree in place and the City of Salem with the assistance of the Beautification Committee decorated the tree.
