The Salem Farmers’ Market opened this past week with the ringing of the market bell by Mayor Kimberley Driscoll and State Representative John Keenan. Strawberries were the most popular item at the market and despite the gloomy skies the market drew over 2,500 people for opening day. The market now opens at 3 p.m. every Thursday in Derby Square on Front Street and runs until 7 p.m. For what farmers will be bringing each week visit www.salemfarmersmarket.org.
