Salem’s So Sweet 2009 Chocolate and Ice Sculpture Festival kicks off with a Chocolate and Wine Tasting, on Friday, February 6, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Hamilton Hall. This luscious tasting event, now in its seventh year, features wine, chocolate and coffee samplings from many of Salem’s restaurants and sweet shops. Samples include unusual and unexpected chocolate items such as a milk chocolate stout and crowd favorites like chocolate mousse and chocolate Truffles. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased in advance at the Salem Chamber of Commerce or at the door on the night of the event.

On Sunday, September 21st, from 2-5pm, the Pickering Wharf Merchants Association will sponsor "tastes" of the wide variety of food and merchandise available on Pickering Wharf. Retail shops will be open, with specials and sales for all ticket holders, and there will be a free concert by the Boston Horns. Tickets are $15 and are available at participating merchants or by mail at:
