Congratulations to all the Celebrate Salem Awards recipients announced at the Salem Chamber of Commerce’s 100th anniversary gala last night. The event which was held at the Peabody Essex Museum was attended by over 300 people. Award winners included Juli Lederhaus, General Manager of the Hawthorne Hotel as Business Woman of the Year and Shelly Matthews as Best New Business for re-find womens and re-find men’s clothing stores. Ye Olde Pepper Candy Companie, which was founded in 1806, received the Long-Term Achievement Award, Healing Abuse Working for Change (HAWC) received the Community Service Award; and Delande Lighting won the Excellence in Retail Award.
