This weekend, June 9th, the Peabody Essex Museum unveils an exhibition showcasing both iconic and lesser known images created by Ansel Adams. At the Water’s Edge explores Ansel Adams’ appreciation for water and the many forms it takes in nature. Focusing on seascapes, beaches, bays, tide-pools, clouds and waterfalls, viewers will have the chance to appreciate over 100 images captured by Ansel Adams, many of which come from his own personal collection. Ansel Adams spent significant time on the North Shore photographing some familar Massachusetts landmarks. He served as a consultant for Poloroid for many years. This exhibit illuminates lesser known aspects of Ansel Adams work. For more information please visit the Peabody Essex Museum website and be sure to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity!
