Spring Forward Into Restaurant Week

March madness could be used to describe the frenzy of activity in Salem this month. We kicked it off with a very successful First Friday event that welcomed shoppers to the downtown district. That is being followed up by the Salem Film Fest which attracted movie makers and movie goers from around the world to see top notch documentaries. And beginning March 17th, we invite people to taste Salem from a variety of dinner tables.

Participating restaurants will offer multiple choices for appetizers and entrees, as well as desserts. Expect a wide variety of delicious foods —from steak to seafood, American to ethnic — there is something for everyone. For 10 days only, participating Salem  restaurants will offer either a two-course prix-fixe dinner menu for $15, or a three-course prix-fixe dinner menu for $25, or both (note that this price does not include drinks, taxes or gratuities).

Need an excuse to enjoy a fabulous meal in THE Dining Destination on the North Shore? Starting Sunday night many Salem restaurants are offering a three course fixed price menu for $25 as part of the Salem Chamber of Commerce Restaurant Week. This year there are over 25 participating restaurants.

Participating restaurants include: 43 Church, 62 Restaurant & Wine Bar, Adriatic Restaurant and Wine Bar, Bella Verona, Black Lobster at Stromberg’s Cove, Brodie’s Seaport, Cafe Polonia, Capt’s Waterfront Grill & Pub, Cilantro, Finz Seafood Restaurant and Grill, Fresh Taste of Asia, Grapevine, The Great Escape, Howling Wolf Taqueria, The Lobster Shanty,  Nathaniel’s at the Hawthorne Hotel, Red Lulu Cocina & Tequila Bar, Regatta Pub at the Waterfront Hotel, Rockafellas, Salem Beer Works, Scratch Kitchen, Tavern in the Square, Thai Place, Victoria Station, and the newest restaurant in town – Village Tavern Grill and Oyster Bar. Salem’s Night Out Restaurant Sampler

Join us, Monday August 6th for Salem’s Night Out Restaurant Sampler. Preregistration is required so don’t wait any longer call and sign up! (978) 744-0004 This year we will be joined by City Council President Joan Lovely, who will accompany attendees to 43 Church, Rockafellas and 62 Restaurant & Wine Bar for great food and fun. The Evening starts at 5 p.m. and ends at 7 p.m. and the cost is $20. Proceeds benefit Salem Main Streets.

Looking for a great excuse to go out to eat in Salem? Many Downtown Salem restaurants have been showcasing selections from their menu for the Salem Chamber of Commerce’s Restaurant Weeks. Due to popular demand there are two weeks (Nov. 6 – 10 and Nov. 13 – 17). There is still time to make your reservations.  The cost is $25 per person for a three course meal.  Some restaurants offer a $15 option.

Winter Market Fundraiser Monday!

A limited number of tickets are still available for the Winter Market Fundraiser at 62 Restaurant and Wine Bar. Don’t miss this exciting and eventful night out in support of the new market!

On Monday, November 7th, join Salem Main Streets at 62 Restaurant and Wine Bar from 5 – 8 p.m. for delicious food, music by Qwill all to support a good cause. Partake in a variety of raffles to win fabulous prizes from local businesses!

You could be the lucky winner of gift cards and certificates to businesses such as Rouge Cosmetics, A&J King Artisan Bakers, New England Soup Factory, Salem Wine Imports, Organic Garden and the Publick House Historic Inn & Country Lodge as well as items from Salem Cycle and more.  

We will also be revealing, for the first time,  the list of Winter Market vendors. Come learn about the exciting new vendors joining our market as well as which of your favorites will continue to offer your favorite treats.

Tickets for the fundraiser are currently on sale for $20 at the Salem Chamber of Commerce office, located at 265 Essex Street. They can also be purchased by contacting Salem Main Streets at SFM@salemmainstreets.org or (978) 744-0004. If tickets are still available they will be on sale at the door the night of the fundraiser for $25.
