The sixteen ice sculptures throughout downtown Salem are a great reason to brave the cold. From a towering ice castle to a prowling tiger there are many beautiful and interesting sculptures. They will be downtown as long as the weather permits.

You can also do you Valentine Shopping and make your dinner reservations while you are downtown Salem.

Sixteen ice sculptures grace downtown Salem. Come downtown to enjoy these beautiful works of art with themes ranging from a crystal snowflake at Lappin Park to Romantic Movies at Pickering Wharf. A new attraction of this year’s festival is an ice carving at 1:00 Saturday, February 6 at Pickering Wharf. Enjoy great discounts, free chocolate samples and much more at participating businesses downtown Salem. Also, if you haven’t gotten your H1N1 flu shot yet the Salem Health Department is conducting a flu clinic at the Waterfront Hotel Saturday, February 6 from 12 – 3 p.m.

**THE WINE AND CHOCOLATE EVENT IS NOW SOLD OUT**
The Salem’s So Sweet festival kick’s off tonight with a Chocolate and Wine Tasting Friday, February 5 with delicious treats ranging from chocolate cheesecake to chocolate truffles to chocolate ice cream. There will also be a nice wine selection from area wine shops and restaurants. The event will be held at Hamilton Hall, 9 Chestnut St., Salem, MA starting at 6:30 p.m.
