The ballots are all in and the viewers have spoken – Marketplace Quilts is the Viewer’s Choice Winner for the 2009 Holiday Window Contest. Congratulations to Marketplace Quilts and the lucky ballot winner: Jerry Gould of New Hampshire. Just one more great event downtown Salem. Salem will again be decorated beautifully for the holiday season. From a downtown holiday tree in the East India Square Fountain to evergreen wreaths, Salem is dressed for the season. To top it all over 35 downtown businesses are decorating their windows especially for the holidays. People are encouraged to come downtown starting Friday, November 27, take a look at the windows and vote at any participating business. All ballots will be entered into a holiday stocking contest. The winner of the ballot contest chosen December 11 will receive a holiday stocking filled with gifts and gift certificates. Come downtown and vote!
