Celebrate Flag Day at the Salem Farmers’ Market
Thursday, June 14 is Opening Day of the 4th Season of the Salem Farmers’ Market. This year the market has a dozen new vendors and is bigger and better than ever. The market opens in Derby Square on Front Street at 3 p.m. with the ringing of the market bell by State Representative John Keenan. There will be a cooking demonstration at 3:30 by Chef Tony Bettencourt from 62 Restaurant and Wine Bar and music by Qwill at 5. The market closes at 7 p.m. Thursday is also Flag Day and the market will be celebrating Flag Day by distributing flags (limited number available). The market weekly sponsor is Salem Patch.
