Free music this weekend: On Saturday, Andrew Harney Blues Haven, will be performing a free concert on outdoors at Pickering Wharf starting at noon. On Sunday in the Peabody Street Park (a short walk behind Wendy’s) there will be a free concert by Gumbo Diablo from 3 – 6 p.m. as part of the City of Salem Sunday Concert Series.
The annual North Shore Medical Center Cancer Walk / Run is this Sunday, June 23. It has raised more than $17 million and attracts thousands each year. For more information, visit nsmcgiving.partners.org.
Also, this weekend the Salem Theatre Company will present L’illusion des Femmes – “a showcase in malevolent allure” on Fridays & Saturday. The Peabody Essex Museum, Ansel Adams: At the Water’s Edge is open and this weekend marks the opening of Pioneeer Village a short ride from the downtown and there is free admissions for Salem residents all weekend.
