Looking for something to do this weekend? Downtown Salem has lots to choose from. Whether you want to eat at one of 60 eating establishments or shop at one of the over 100 retails stores or just relax and enjoy the historic charm, make downtown Salem your destination.

Free music this weekend: On Saturday, Andrew Harney Blues Haven, will be performing a free concert on outdoors at Pickering Wharf starting at noon.  On Sunday in the Peabody Street Park (a short walk behind Wendy’s) there will be a free concert by Gumbo Diablo from 3 – 6 p.m. as part of the City of Salem Sunday Concert Series

The annual North Shore Medical Center Cancer Walk / Run is this Sunday, June 23.  It has raised more than $17 million and attracts thousands each year.  For more information, visit nsmcgiving.partners.org.

Also, this weekend the  Salem Theatre Company will present L’illusion des Femmes – “a showcase in malevolent allure” on Fridays & Saturday. The Peabody Essex Museum, Ansel Adams: At the Water’s Edge is open and this weekend marks the opening of Pioneeer Village  a short ride from the downtown and there is free admissions for Salem residents all weekend.
