Salem is filled with excitement as Halloween approaches. Each weekend is filled with more activities than the last. The 21st Annual Motorcycle Ride to benefit Muscular Dystrophy Association has been rescheduled for THIS SUNDAY! The ride is expected to arrive in Salem somewhere around 1:30 p.m. (Route: Lafayette Street – Derby Street – Congress Street – Shetland Park)
There are many great ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN. This weekend starts off with Trick or Treating for children at Pickering Wharf Friday, October 23 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Parents with children in costume, ages 14 and under are encouraged to visit all stores in Pickering Wharf with balloons outside their doors. The Phoenix School is conducting their Annual Children’s Halloween Costume Parade and Party Saturday from 12 – 3 p.m. Registration for the parade starts at 11 a.m. on the Salem Common. Salem Common Neighborhood Assocation is also sponsoring a Children’s Day both Saturday and Sunday on the Salem Common from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
