Monday, May 14,  internationally renowned artist, Kenny Scharf, will transform Salem’s downtown parking garage with a new and colorful mural. The Los Angeles based artist strives to connect to popular culture through art and enhance everyday life with his original works. Kenny’s mural will contribute to Salem’s growing reputation as a center of art and culture on the North Shore. Whether it is the annual film, poetry, literary, Salem Arts Festival, painted utility boxes, or world class art at the Peabody Essex Museum, Kenny’s mural will contribute to the role of art in the Salem community.   Kenny’s mural is one more way the city is bringing art to the public, and his mural will add a new and colorful dimension to downtown. Kenny has worked all over the world and we are looking forward to seeing his final creation.  Do not miss this wonderful opportunity to watch Kenny bring new life to downtown Salem at the Museum Place Mall garage on New Liberty St. on Monday, May 14!
